The guitar player Nick Sheppard, Mick Jones's successor, is said to have been involved in their recording and release. As said in Sharona's excellent revue at https://www.sharoma.com/clash/give_em_enough_dope.htm, talking about the Clash Mark Two: "don't anyone say they were rubbish, because if you listen to these performances you'll realise you were mistaken". Indeed these are excellent performances, full of energy, and very well recorded. A must have. These EPs are rarities (I recently saw one being sold 100 Euros), but they were ripped and put on many bootleg CDs. Among them, the well-known "Give'Em Enough Dope" which also includes a part of the 1982-02-01 Tokyo concert in rather bad quality (not to be uploaded here anyway because part of it has been officially released). All of the CD versions I could hear were direct rips from old vinyls, which means that they were spoilled by analog crakles and pops. So I spent some tens of hours to do a manual deglitching work: here they are now in all their glorious glitchless quality. No other process was performed, none was needed. Enjoy, and don't sell!
